This year between April 22-25, 2024, we will be holding another series of virtual career exploration sessions highlighting individuals like you from companies like yours who are using computer science skills and tools in their day-to-day industries. During this virtual hour, learners and teachers from school districts all over California will sign in and hear about your professional journey to your field and position, advice you would give to youth, what a typical day looks like for you, and how computer science is applied in your industry niche! We would be honored to have you share your journey and story with us.

STEAM Spotlight: Pixar Animation Studios
The Alameda County Office of Education, in collaboration with Earn & Learn, invites learners of all ages (k-12 and college students, teachers, counselors, animation enthusiasts, etc.) to a special virtual spotlight sector event in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) featuring special guests from Pixar Animation Studios!
During this 90-minute session, our presenters will share their career journeys working in an iconic company including team dynamics and support, resources, and skills they've learned along the way to continue their personal growth.

These live virtual sessions will expose students and teachers across 10 counties to ways that CS is professionally applied across multiple pathways, and highlight CS specialties in fields like Culinary Arts, Agriculture, Construction, and more; these sessions are here to support curriculum and educate our youth!
